Ok so here’s the plans for opening day.
We will start at 9am and would like everyone there in uniform (if possible) about 15-20 min early.
At 9am we will play the Star Spangled Banner and raise our new American flag donated by Herman Beckett
Directly after the teams will be annouced by Danne Vance (we are only announcing divisions and team sponsors)
We will have a short recognition for the teams and players that competed in the state tournament and Ghiz tournament last year and present signs that will be hung at the field
A Jr. Home Run Derby will be planned to start once all the teams have been announced (around 9:45-10am). Players will need to register prior to the competition starting. Softball and baseball players compete against each other in 2 divisions. 14U and 12U are the available divisions. 12U is for any age 12 and under. I’ve attached a link to the website that will provide needed information. If your child wants to participate and has pictures around the same time please let me know asap and we will make accomodations so they can participate. http://m.mlb.com/junior-homerun-derby/
Pictures will start at 9:40am (please arrive early and have the order form filled out-each child will have individual pictures taken even if they do not order-those will be saved for at least 2 weeks in case parents decide to order later) Order forms will be sent out hopefully tomorrow via email. See schedule at the bottom of email.
All sponsors will be invited to attend opening day. A representative from Avon will be there, Chasity Triplett, and will be taking orders as a fundraiser for Milton Little League.

5:30pm- Jennifer Stevens and Jack Chapman tball teams-both teams take pictures before game
6:00pm-Beckman/Stevens minor girls
6:20pm-Todd Bryan-double check with Todd to be sure-trying to make sure everyone can be present
