Coaches training

We are happy to announce that we have hired Jason Holmes to do a coaches clinic with our coaches tomorrow at City Hall at 6pm. He will cover the best ways to run a practice to keep kids engaged the entire time and reduce boredom. He will also work on ensuring that all coaches are teaching the proper mechanics. While he says that all kids are different, there are some basic guidelines that should always be followed. We are working hard to improve our league and trying to ensure that we have experienced, well-trained coaches working with all the kids from t-ball all the way up to seniors. All coaches (head coaches and assistants) are encouraged to attend and if we have more interest then we will add more clinics. Later, we will offer mini-clinics with Jason for players that have always wanted to try a private lesson but haven’t (or for anyone that just wants to do a mini clinic to see how it works)-the cost and scheduling will be the parents responsibility. We have 4-5 additional openings for this clinic for parents that are interested in coaching or helping out during the season and want to brush up on their skills. If you want one of these spots text me asap at 304-972-3811 and I’ll put you on the list. These spots are first come, first served. I’ll keep any additional requests in mind for the next clinic.
